Our Practice Areas
IRS Communications
Receiving a letter or visit from the IRS can be scary and stressful. At Komor Tax Law, we relieve that stress by explaining your situation using plain, non-technical terms, and developing a plan to respond to the IRS. We evaluate your situation and tailor a specific plan for you.
Unpaid Income Taxes
Our experienced IRS tax attorney can evaluate the options that may be available to you. You may qualify to pay over time using an IRS installment agreement, delay payment temporarily due to financial hardship, or reduce or eliminate the amount you owe using a program called an Offer in Compromise.
IRS Collection Actions
If the IRS is taking steps to collect taxes from you, we can help. We understand the IRS’ collection procedures, and we will advocate tirelessly for you. Once you hire us, the IRS will contact us instead of you, and we will evaluate your options and determine if you can take steps to reduce the amount due, delay payment, file for a hearing to discuss your tax liability, or take other appropriate steps.
Colorado Department of Revenue Disputes
The Colorado Department of Revenue usually follows the IRS’ lead in determining income tax liability. If the IRS determines that you owe taxes, they often share this information with the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR), and the CDOR increases your state income tax liability based on the IRS’ increase to your federal taxes.
State & Federal Tax Questions
At Komor Tax Law, we handle tax issues and only tax issues. We focus on individuals, small businesses and self-employed taxpayers. If you have a question regarding federal taxes, or taxes from the state of Colorado, schedule a free consultation to meet with our experienced IRS attorney. We assist individuals, as well as CPAs and other tax professionals. If you have a question about how to handle a tax situation or are a tax professional who needs legal advice on a tax or IRS issue for a client, we are here to help, contact us today!
